You will meet Herald the Horse in the picture book, ‘Little Loco’s Big Day’.
Herald is not happy. Not happy at all. He was told an iron horse was coming to the railway, but Little Loco doesn’t look like a horse at all. You can listen to Herald’s Song here.

She doesn’t neigh, she makes a hiss.
Instead of hair she’s made of wood and iron.

More like a dragon breathing out black smoke,
thick enough to make you choke.
Instead of hooves, she’s great round wheels of iron.

But when people say to me,
Eeh, she’s strong as strong can be,
I can’t pretend it makes me feel first class.
I mean, what if she should take me job away,
she’d make me redundant
and I’d be put out to grass.
