First edition (1978) green cloth (gold lettering) hardback book with dust jacket (clipped to remove original price). This is the second album of photographs compliled by George Dow to supplement his classic trilogy Great Central. A professional railwayman, he joined the LNER in 1927 and retired in 1968 as a Divisional Manager of British Railways.
