Great Central Steam by W.A.Tuplin (pre-owned)

George Allen and Unwin green hardback book with cloth cover. First edition of 1967. No dustwrapper but a plastic replacement cover put on by the book’s one previous owner. The edges of the pages are also coloured green. 234pp of text, some b&w photos, graphs and tables. In addition to the previous owner’s name and address being applied as a sticker (this has been coloured out on the photograph but is intact on the book), the owner, clearly a man who looked after his books, also stuck an extract on to the inside front cover summarising the book’s contents (see photos). We think this adds to the book’s archaeology.
