Guide Book for Festiniog Railway (pre-owned, c.1971)

This is a little guidebook for the ‘Festiniog Railway’.  It is undated, but the price on the front is in both pre-decimalisation shillings (3s)and post-decimalisation pence (15p); membership fees listed within are in shillings, and the registration of the new car in an advert all date it to 1970/71.

The book gives a brief history of the railway, along with information about locomotives, rolling stock and a description of the route.  It is illustrated with black and white photographs along with maps and diagrams. Worth the money just for the adverts alone!
