Brusselton Incline glass trinket /coin/ cufflinks dish

£22.00

This clear glass trinket dish (or leave it empty and admire the artwork), made by Judith Gill of Stockton, was inspired by Brusselton Incline on the Stockton & Darlington Railway. The firing technique has captured beautiful bubbles in the dish that represent cinders or ballast on the surface of the incline and ‘sleeper stones’ are made of shards of glass draped over a wire ‘rail’. Each dish is unique – a product of the artist, the glass and the kiln. The dish measures 11 x 11 cm and a maximum height at the corners of 1cm. Jewellery in the images in not included. Like all of our bespoke products, the dish comes with a certificate explaining how it was inspired by railway history.

The Stationmaster says – “there is something about this dish with its clear crispness, icy shards and bubbles that always makes me want to have a glass of G&T!”
