Travel sweets in a decorative S&DR tin
This lovely tin of travel sweets takes its inspiration from a souvenir produced in 1925 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Stockton & Darlington Railway. It features a simplified version of Dobbin’s painting of the opening day of the railway on the 27th September 1825 as Locomotion No.1 and its train passed over the Skerne Bridge in Darlington. The tin is a keeper, the delicious fruit sweets are made in the UK and happen to be suitable for vegans and vegetarians. We had help from a local Darlington firm to produce this and we think that makes it extra special. Current sell-by date is August 2026 so they’ll see you right through the 200th anniversary celebrations in 2025.
