This chocolate is very special with North Chocolates being awarded the accolade of ‘Artisan Hero of the Year 2019’ and former ‘Artisan Business of the Year’. This will add Rocket to someone’s life!
The apple chutney: A 110g jar of apple chutney made in South West Durham. The apples are collected from ancient orchards. Edward Pease, the father of the railways, had many apple trees in his garden and we reckon his pantry was full of apple chutney just like this.
The hedgerow jelly: Perfect as a jam or as an accompaniment to cheese or meat, this 110g jar is packed with flavour derived from the hedgerows growing in County Durham including alongside disused railways.
This lovely tin of travel sweets takes its inspiration from a souvenir produced in 1925 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Stockton & Darlington Railway. It features a simplified version of Dobbin’s painting of the opening day of the railway on the 27th September 1825 as Locomotion No.1 and its train passed over the Skerne Bridge in Darlington.
The bag: The sturdy hessian bag which holds your goodies measures 25cm wide x 21cm high (excluding handles) and 14cm deep and features the S&DR 1825 logo on one side. The hamper comes with a small S&DR certificate explaining the railway interest behind each goody within and a card luggage tag for your message.
